MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Hexassarion(?) (30mm, 14.95 g, 7h). Sabinius Modestus, legatus consularis. Struck AD 241-244. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Aesculapius standing facing, head left, leaning on serpent-entwined staff. H&J, Nikopolis, 8.36.20.1 (same dies); Varbanov 4170. Good VF, hard dark green patina on a broad flan, a few adjustment marks on edge.
